Back in about 1977 I was working overnight stocking shelves in our local grocery store.

Long story short- Pepsi had a go-kart with a van body on their display.

They removed the sparkplug and drained the gas tank...we brought in our own sparkplug and gas- took the janitor a couple hours to remove all the rubber marks we left on the floor.

None, but I did get the forks of a pallet jack stuck under the dairy case that night.....damn near got fired for that one :-)

Haha that's amazing. I don't see how it was cost effective for them to use a real go kart for promotional display, but Pepsi ain't care because money flows like Coca Cola for them.

This was back in 1977....if I remember correctly, the van was a raffle prize. At least we broke it in for the winner.
